Outback Pub Crawl - Aussie Crawl

Roma Queensland 29 march 2017: Cyclone Debbie was reaping $2.4 billion in havoc on Eastern Australia. The plan was to visit Carnarvon National Park and attend an Outback Queensland Tourism workshop. After two failed attempts to get to the National Park and a Police escort though floodwaters thanks to Debbie, I was notified the workshop was cancelled on account of the Cyclone. I had my swag and a few days up my sleeve, I decided to point the Landcruiser West in search of sunlight and revisit a few old drinking holes.

First stop Muckadilla and the rain had already stopped. Onward along the Warrego Hwy to Mitchell, Mungallala to Cooladdi. It was here I opted to leave the Hwy and head North on station tracks past Lake Dartmouth to Adavale, then on to Toompine and Eromanga. The next stop was the Noc Pub where I swung around for the trip back to St George through Yowah, Bollon and the Nindigully Pub, where a week on, the affects of Debbie were now being felt with the Moonie River in full flood. All up just on 3,000 km.

I put this video together to document my 'Great Aussie Pub Crawl'. What the video does not show is the fantastic friendly locals you come accross where ever you go in the outback.

Music by Australian Crawl - of course.
